Waverly is a 2 year old fawn girl that came to us from “death row” at a shelter in North Carolina. She is currently heartworm positive, has a super thin coat (even for a fawn), some sores on her body, and could stand to gain at least 20 lbs. We know how to fix all of those things and are already getting to work on healing what ails her. Despite her less than stellar current physical condition, Waverly’s sweet disposition is shining through. And apparently, she thinks she is a princess who should be petted at all times. She has probably never had any resources to share with other dogs and is having to learn how to do that. We are confident that once she realizes that there is plenty more food, water, toys, and humans to go around, she will seamlessly fit into a family with other animals.
Bella is an all natural, 1 year old doberman-mix girl that came to us from a small shelter that was experiencing overcrowding. One of the volunteers took notice of her sweet disposition and contacted us to keep her out of harm’s way. She is still new to us, but so far gets along well with all of the other dogs she has been introduced to. We are looking forward to getting to know this beauty.
Ash is a 3 year old boy that came to us via the shelter route. He had a “jawbreaker” size tumor on his jawline and another on one of his rear legs. Both were benign and have since been removed. Ash is going with the Frankenstein look for Halloween….well, Frankenstein with a lampshade anyway. He’s the creative type. ;o)
Taz is a 4 year old male owner surrender. He has spent the last six months being boarded at the vet where he lost weight due to being a “velcro” guy and having no one to “stick” to. His foster family has remedied that situation and we are sure he will fill out in no time. He is good with other dogs. Taz is not a fan of the crate. In fact, he HATES being crated. But that’s OK as he does well in the house at night without it. He has a good “sit” and “down”. Taz will need an experienced Doberman owner as he can be nippy in stressful situations and is currently very nervous about meeting new people.
Samson is a sweet tiny Doberman that craves affection. I believe he is always been an outside dogs therefore coming inside and getting love and Cuddles is a new and awesome experience for him. He is good with other dogs and cats.
