Current Pets

All pets must be spayed/neutered (unless a vet-approved medical condition exists), updated on vaccines, and on heartworm preventatives.

Home Requirements

Adopted dogs will be inside dogs, treated as part of the family. For some dogs, a fenced in yard is required.

For the safety and well-being of both the dog and the family, we reserve the right not to adopt to families with children who may not be dog-savvy.

Location

You must live within an 8-hour radius of Knoxville or Nashville, TN. You will need to travel for the meet-and-greet and adoption process.

Application Review

After we receive your adoption application, we'll email you instructions for the next steps. This includes submitting a home video of the main living areas and the backyard to ensure it's a comfortable environment for the dog.

Reference Checks

We'll contact your personal references, veterinarian, and landlord (if applicable) to verify the information on your application. Please make sure to notify these contacts beforehand.

Finding the Right Match

Once your application is reviewed, we'll discuss dogs that might be a good fit for your family. Our goal is to make the best match possible. You'll be contacted by the dog's foster family within 24–48 hours to discuss the dog's personality and answer any questions you may have.

Meet-and-Greet & Adoption Day

We will schedule a meet-and-greet with the dog. Adoption typically happens on the same day. Please refrain from bringing other pets to the meeting. Once you adopt, we'll guide you through proper introductions and settling your new dog into your home.

Adoption Fee Payment

The adoption fee can be paid through cash, check (with a $50 fee for returned checks), Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal. The fee will be held for one week to ensure the dog is a good fit for your family. These fees help fund medical expenses, food, supplies, and the general operations of the rescue.
