Ada is a sweet 4-year old blue girl currently hanging out in Huntsville, AL waiting on a new family to come collect her. She has been spayed, is up to date on shots, and is HW negative on prevention. Totally house-trained, knows the basics (sit, down, etc), and loves all the attention!

Ava was rescued from a life that was contained mostly within the wire walls of a crate next to her brother. She was taken from that life with all intentions to be a temporary guest of her foster mom, but as days turned to weeks, weeks into months, and months into years she and her brother became a little more than guests. Now, after three years of quiet comfort, circumstances have become such that her life would be better lived elsewhere. While it is a sad decision, it is what is best for everyone involved.

Ada will thrive as an only pet, but she'll only go to a home with a male dog her size if that isn't in the cards. She communicates VERY clearly when it comes to comfort level, and that communication comes through as a quiet growl. Not an aggressive growl, not a dangerous thing, just a "not right now" or an "oh yeah, that's the spot"! We all like to think "what if they could talk"; well, she's pretty close! She would absolutely love to learn as much as possible in her new home; she's very trainable and incredibly smart, but gets bored and ornery without enough exercise and stimulation.
